2008 SBS Gayo DaeJeon took place on 29th December in GyeongGiDo Kintex.

The MCs for the day were the ‘Family Outing’ Lee Cheon Hee, Park Ye Jin and DaeSung, who took in for Lee Hyori who couldn’t be to make for the year-end music festivals.

[ SBS Gayo Daejun 081229] Sun Ye Diva Stage Rehearsal

Rehearsals for the SBS Gayo Daejun started at 3pm (KST) this afternoon with the actual Gayo Daejun taking place tonight at 9.55pm (KST). Pictures from the rehearsals have been released but there were no pictures of the Wonder Girls. But instead we saw pictures of Sun Ye rehearsing her Diva stage with Tae Yeon (So Nyeo Shi Dae) and Lee Hae Ri, Kang Min Kyung (Davichi). We can expect them to belt out a power ballad.

Another great music show today with an awesome line up of artists and songs XDD I dont remember the end of year music shows ever being this exciting hahaha. The artists pretty much performed all their hit tracks of the year <3

OMGGGAHHH the “Are you a good girl” performance was really hot *____* Hot enough for me to turn a blind eye on their plaids =_= (Are plaids the new “in” this season?!!? Cuz I’m totally not digging it! I miss the other spiffy suits they wore!). Anyways, the beginning dance for AYAGG was so smexyy man. I think Changmin’s expressions throughout the performance pawned! Seriously, I kept going back to watch his expressions haha. And he’s soooo sweaty (yum!) XDDD But omg omg omgahh THE BEST PART WAS AT 2.05!!! O__O The fans were screaming their heads off and I totally understand *drools*!! Especially Junsu, LOOK AT THOSE HIPS!!! <333>

SNSD Tae Yeon along with Wonder Girls' Min Sun Ye, See Ya's Nam Gyu Ri, and Brown Eyed Girls's Gain made a special joint stage performance. They preformes the most buzzed about Buttons by the Pussycat Dolls.


Popular newcomer SHINee paid tribute to their sunbae's, the legendary boy group Shinhwa on December 26th's Music Bank. SHINee looked nice in their suits as they performed "Wild Eyes" by Shinhwa.

On the December 26th episode of KBS2 TV's Music Bank, TVXQ climbed over Big Bang, to snatch the 2008 MVP award. Considering they made their comeback in September and only performed for one quarter of the year, it was impressive.

Dong Bang Shin Ki and Big Bang for first-ever joint stage ‘Star Wars’

2 of Kpop’s biggest names Big Bang and Dong Bang Shin Ki will have their first ever joint stage!

They will be performing together for SBS year-end concert ‘2008 SBS Gayo Festival’ set to take place on 29th December.

One of the staff for the concert announced on 24th December, “The 2 groups are preparing for a performance called ‘Star Wars’.”

It is also confirmed that Big Bang TaeYang and Dong Bang Shin Ki Xiah JunSu will also be having a showdown of musical composition.

“After the piano performance session, they will also have a song battle. Xiah JunSu is scheduled to perform first, followed by TaeYang.”

Asian Edition of Rain's Album "Rainism" Sold in 9 Countries

Singer Rain (real name Jung Ji-hoon) has released his fifth album entitled "Rainism" in the entire Asian region.

Rain's agency, J Tune Entertainment, said it will first release the Asian edition of the album in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines, and later will expand the sales to Thailand, Japan and China as well. The company has also signed license deals with GMM Grammy for the album's distributiion in English-speaking countries, with Warner Music for its distribution in Chinese-speaking countries, and with Pony Canyon for its distribution in Japan.

The Asian edition of Rain's album contains the English versions of the songs "Rainism" and "Love Story", which were originally released in Korean. The Chinese and Japanese editions also contain the same songs recorded in Chinese and Japanese, respectively.

Rain will hold a concert in Shanghai, China in January next year.

SHINee arrived in TAIWAN...

As soon as they arrived, they rushed to 5 different events, and it was 11pm by the time they returned to their hotel. Their lunch was eaten in the car, like fast food, to fill their stomachs, and the whole day the 5 members cried; “So tired, so hungry!” Yesterday morning, at TaoYuan airport, there were almost 250 SHINee fans gathered in the 1st Terminal Arrival Hall to await their idols, amongst them included more than 20 fans who had come all the way from Tainan & Taipei. When SHINee arrived at the airport, they used both Chinese and Korean to greet everyone: “Hello everyone, we are the shining SHINee!” Although this is the first time SHINee has come to Taiwan, the 5 memebers have done preparations. During the day, they used many different Chinese phrases such as ‘Really?’, ‘Very awesome’, ‘Thankyou’ etc, and although their schedules are so busy that they have broken a record for Korean stars that have come to Taiwan, they don’t mind, as they wish to have more contact with their Taiwanese fans. Yesterday night, they went on GTV’s ‘100% Entertainment’ and had close interactions with 100 fans. They played ‘Acting Big Challenge’ and other games. Tonight at 8pm, SHINee will hold a handshake event at the Taipei International Convention Center. There are 700 places avilable, issuing registration plates will begin at 4pm, and doors will open at 7pm.

Boys Over Flowers’ Is Greeting The New Year

Koo Hye Sun, Lee Min Ho, Kim Hyun Joong, Kim Bum and Kim Joon were in attendance for the ‘Boys Over Flowers’ drama production press conference which was held at the Lotte Hotel Crystal Ballroom in Seoul on the 22nd. Koo Hye Sun plays the part of high school student, Geum Jan Di who is a commoner that operates a laundromat. Goo Joon Pyo played by Lee Min Ho is the successor to a the largest conglomerate in Korea, and Kim Hyun Joong is silent and introverted as Yoon Ji Hoo, the son of a President. Kim Bum assumes the role of Soo Lee Jung, a representative of the arts in Korea and is reputable for his natural talent with ceramics, while Kim Joon is the successor to an up-and-coming real estate company as Song Woo Bin.

The truth is that Hee Chul has been preparing for a new show ‘Band of Brothers’ set to air in January on Mnet.He had to learn how to play the drums under the guidance of famous drum trainer Ahn Seong Wook amidst his busy schedule. Not only so, he has to train up to 3 hours everyday, leaving him with aches all over his back. And the Elves will definitely be heartbroken to see this.

Note: This might be refering to season two of Band of Brothers.Mnet ‘Band of Brothers’ will feature Super Junior KangIn and HeeChul, and Jaei and Jung Mo in a tribute band. KangIn and HeeChul who do not know how to play the bass guitar and drums, will have to perform together with Jaei and Jung Mo.

Their showcase will be revealed in January.

The group TVXQ will do a fashion pictorial for the benefit of young boys and girls.

Their agency, SM Entertainment, said on the 19th that “Dong bang Shin Ki Off Stage” is the title for the shoot for charity and they will do the pictorial as models and during the shooting, Dong Bang Shin Ki’s clothes will be items for auction. The full amount of the proceeds will go to the group they’re sponsoring. “Even a little love is expected to be passed on” he said.

In addition, this issue of the women’s magazine Singles with Dong Bang Shin Ki’s charity fashion pictorial magazine will be a rare issue with them as cover models, with all five members in the front and the back cover as well.

As for what busy schedule, Kangin does a daily radio show for 2 hours a day, MCs shows MTV's "Class Up," as well as participating in SBS "Start King" and Mnet "Band of Brothers" every week as well as guest shots on various programs on a weekly basis. Right at the moment, he's also promoting his recent film "Simple Manhwa" as well as being active in 2 SuJu subunits, SuJu-T in Japan and SuJu-Happy in Korea (although that is tapering down now). Oh, and SuJu as a whole is working on their 3rd album and are in the process of recording right now, not to mention the Super Show Asian Tour which is still going on.Kangin will start filming on December 17 which will be broadcast on December 21.
